What can be more exciting then two aerobatic planes flying syncronised above the Lake Balaton? This is the opening event of the Grand Aero Challenge air triathlon, the syncronised stunt-flying. The two pilots get into action above the surface of the harbor of Balatonfüred.
In the task the two competing planes cross the satrtint line in the same time and do the same aerobatic routine in syncron with each other. The winner is the one who completes the track first.

Balloon hunt
Balloon hunt

In the Balloon hunt the planes arrive to the spot in double bond. At a given signal the escorting plane breaks away and for the request of the leading plane’s pilot the balloon filled with helium is launched. When the balloon reaches an altitude of two hundred metres, the pilot attempts to hunt it. If succeeded, it flies to the waiting area to give the opportunity to its waiting escorting plane. One plane can make three attempts to hunt one balloon. If the mission is over, the planes leave the course in bond.

This is really an artistic attraction. The competitor presents a three-five minutes freestyle routine, showing the beginning and the end of the routine with three wing tippings. During this show performed to music points out how the harmony is between the plane and its pilot is and the real quality of the aerobats.
