Grand Aero Challenge Events - 2011

The Grand Aero Challenge is one of the newest and most complex exciting technical competition. It's a challenge for all pilots of the world, only few of them is able to accomplish. The speed, exactitude, creativity and competing on nip and tuck are all part of that Grand Prix and it's very entertaining for the public with its exciting, breath-taking segments and simple rules. Moreover the audience become part of the racing since they participate as jury in the final program.

What is the Grand Aero Challenge? – all in one like the car racing but in 3 dimension:

F-1
Synronised stunt-flying

Formula-1 racing: two random aircraft fly on the same time on an 8-shape race track, only in few meters above ground with very high speed, at the cross of the 8 with more than 700kmh speed difference. Their aim is to fly the ideal arches with highest speed and of course to defeat the opponent. The public can see the competition of that two aircraft from seconds to seconds how they're speeding only in few meters above ground. The winner is who breasts the tape first and receives score then he get the privilege to choose a track and sequence for the next lap.

Balloon hunt
Balloon hunt

The most exciting challenge of the pilots, the rules are pretty simple, the pilots have to hunt a 60cm diameter meteo balloon on the sky, destroying it with the prop. It makes the hunting hard that the pilots can approach the balloon only in vertical zoom, the hit valid only on that way. The public can sweat together with the pilot if he is able to it all 3 balloons or the balloon is master...

Synronised stunt-flying
Freestyle stunt-flying

Flying neck and neck and racing in vertical dimension. Both aircraft have to fly acrobatic next to each other on the same time, the same maneuvers. The track is 1km long with a turn back at the end, there is no minimum height. The faster who breasts the tape after all maneuvers is the winner. Be careful the illusion is fudgy! The pilots use tactic like the pit-stop in the Formula-1 racing, the aircraft behind can be the winner if it flew every maneuvers.

Freestyle stunt-flying for music
Freestyle stunt-flying

This is the art of acrobatic flying. The pilots fly for music choosen by themselves, like in figure-skating but using 3D, sometimes forcing the 4th dimension and limit of aerodynamic.

There is a new in that competition, the public can not only sweat during the racing but evaluate as well, the result based on jury and public 50-50%. The Grand Aero Challenge is a real challenge, the winner on top of the stage can be rightly pround of his knowledge. Hopefully the public will leave the air-circus with never seen experiences and secrets from behind the scene of that flying Formula-1.
